Modernizing a 20-year Lotus Notes system on Power Platform
A banking-systems software provider ran on a 20-year-old Lotus Notes system for email, CRM, and support. We modernized it on Microsoft 365 — Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Power BI — migrating two decades of data.
The challenge
A banking-systems software provider had relied on an outdated Lotus Notes system for two decades — serving as email, CRM, and support tool for all of its customers. The changing needs of remote work and cybersecurity prompted a move to a modern, secure platform.
Our approach
We analyzed the organization's needs and recommended a migration to Microsoft 365, delivered in four phases — planning, preparation, migration, and adoption — working closely with the team at each stage.
We combined several Microsoft 365 technologies into a single solution: a Power Apps canvas interface for secure access from any device, SharePoint Online for customer and order files connected to the app, 20 years of historical data transferred from Notes into Dataverse, and Power BI for analysis and reporting on current orders.
